Let me introduce myself…
Michelle is an active violinist throughout the Sacramento area. While she spends much of her time performing in a classical setting, she loves to explore the versatility of the violin! She is proficient in classic and alternative rock, pop, folk, sacred and bluegrass styles. She also performs regularly with gypsy jazz trio Yolo Hot Club and country/classic rock duo Crescent Moon.
EDUCATION
She received her Bachelor of Music degree in violin performance from Furman University, summa cum laude. While at Furman, she also studied and performed at the Accademia dell’Arte in Arezzo, Italy. She then earned her Master of Music degree in violin from the University of North Carolina Greensboro.
ORCHESTRAL EXPERIENCE
She currently performs with Auburn, Folsom Lake, Solano, and Stockton Symphonies. Her past professional orchestral experience includes Temple Symphony in Texas, Hendersonville and Fayetteville Symphonies in North Carolina, and the Mannheim Steamroller Orchestra, as well as the chamber ensembles Casella Sinfonietta, Gate City Camerata, and Fayetteville Chamber Strings.
She is a founding member of Romanza String Quartet, which is available for hire for any special events throughout the Northern California region.
Michelle has been an avid freelance musician across South Carolina, North Carolina, Texas, and here in California. She is available for both live gigs and as a studio musician.
